30 BEAUTY QUESTIONS TAG!

Something a little bit different today my loves, because I feel like I always write the same stuff! ENJOY!!

1. Do you remember your first makeup item?
Yes I do indeed, I'm a little embarrassed but it was the Barry M dazzle dust in 78, which is an absolutely wacky, vibrant blue colour! HASHTAG CRINGE!!
2. Describe your perfect mascara. Have you found one that fits your specifications?
Gives good length and a medium amount of volume, but good for the lashes and not too clumpy! Actually yes, I have found my perfect mascara: Urban Decay Lush Lash! It gives length and makes your lashes feel soooo good- it comes off so easily! The only issue I have so far is that the volume is good but not amazing.

3. What kind of coverage do you prefer from foundation?
Medium to full- as I have quite spotty, oily and red skin, so full coverage foundations tend to have less oil in them and they cover up my imperfections.

4. Favorite high end brand?
No question -MAC!!!!

5. What cosmetic brands have you always wanted to try but still haven't?
Probably Bobbi Brown, Chanel, Laura Mercier and clinique.

6. Favorite drugstore brand?
That's difficult… I would have to pick Revlon because I absolutely adore their ColourStay foundation, but I equally love Sleek!

7. Do you wear fake eyelashes?
On special occasions like parties, but only natural ones just for extra length.

8. Is there any kind of makeup you can't leave the house without?
Concealor 100%, although recently I've been trying to give my skin a break and I have officially gone a week without.

9. What is your most cherised beauty product?
Probably my Mac X15 eyeshadow pro-palette, just because it contains some of my fave eyeshadows and it cost me a lot of money to buy.

10. How often do you shop for makeup? Do you like to pick up an item here and there or get lots of goodies at once?
Generally around once a week, but not always! I'm quite bad like this, I tend not to buy something for ages and then totally splurge when I do, but only because I collect horrendously long lists of what I want to buy. If it's expensive I always feel guilty buying it, but once I've brought one expensive item I tend to buy more.

11. Do you have a "beauty budget" or you spend freely?
Pretty much, I would never spend more than £30 on one product unless it was a palette or a set. I think more than £30 is a little ridiculous but then again, there are some exceptions.

12. Do you utilize coupons, rewards cards and sales when you shop for cosmetics?
In drugstore yes, because they usually have points systems, but high-end brands in England tend not to do coupons. :(

13. What type of product do you buy the most of?
This is difficult… It definately used to be eyeshadows but recently probably lip products, I have many different eyeshadow colours and I deffo don't need anymore for a while!!

14. Is there a brand that you absolutely can't stand?
I don't absolutely detest anything, but I'm not best keen on Rimmel sometimes, and to be honest when I'm shopping around, the Laura Mercier counter bores me a little bit.

15. Do you avoid certain ingredients in cosmetics like parabens or sulfates?
Not really, if I like the product I'll buy it!

16. Do you have a favorite place to shop for makeup?
SELFRIDGES ON OXFORD STREET IS AMAZING.

17. Do you like trying new skincare products or do you keep a certain routine?
I try new things out quite a lot, because I still haven't found the best routine, but whatever I try will always generally be oil-free.

18. Favorite bath and body brand?
OOOO that's difficult: SOAP AND GLORY VS LUSH!

19. If you could only buy from one brand, which brand would you choose?
Mac deffo, they have a product there to suit every need!

20. What brand do you think has the best packaging?
I'd actually say that personally for me, Mac. Only because I adore sleek, plain packaging; but Nars products get dirty really easily so it would have to be Mac.

21. Which celebrity always has great makeup?
Kim K always looks flawless and I love the glamorous looks from Jess Wright too.

22Do you belong to any online makeup communities?
No.

23. 5 Favorite Beauty Gurus
Pixiwoo, VDM, AmeliaLiana, Essie Button and Lauren Curtis.

24. Do you like multifunctional products like lip and cheek stains?
Not particularly.

25. Are you clumsy in putting makeup?
Sometimes on the eyes or blush, but not really.

26. Do you use makeup base/primer for the eyes?
Yes, Mac paint pots are the bomb.

27. How many hair products do you use on a typical day?
None, unless I blow dry or straighten my hair.

28. What do you apply first, concealer or foundation?
Concealor, only because I find my face easier to deal with once I've dealt with the obvious problems.

29. Do you ever consider taking makeup classes?
I fantasise about this almost everyday.

30. What do you love about makeup?
The ability to be able to change your look constantly, how fun it is and how flawless it can make you look. It can really make a huge confidence difference.

DUTY FREE HAUL!

I have recently returned from a luscious holiday to Lanzarote! I return feeling tanned and ready to rumble. On the way to Lanzarote however, we dare to venture into the depths of duty free shopping! Now of course, any make up addicts like myself will know it is practically impossible to survive duty free without purchasing at least something.
First, in MAC, I got a lipstick in the shade Coral Bliss. It is a creamsheen lipstick and is a pale pinky colour with a slight orangey coral tint. As it is a cream sheen it is extremely moisturizing and is great for those muggy summer months when your lips get a little dry from the arduous weather. However because it is a creamsheen, it also means you have to apply a few layers to achieve a deeper, darker colour. This is a perfect colour for summer.

Secondly, I brought a second MAC Paint Pot, in the colour Vintage Selection. A Paint Pot is a pro-longwear cream eyeshadow. Putting into words how much I adore this is simply impossible. The texture is so creamy and light-weight and purely delectable. The colour is heavenly. A champagney-pinky colour with a delicate silver sparkle that brings out my big brown eyes. I get so much use out of it: during the day when I cannot be bothered to do lots of fancy blending stuff; for evenings out where I either haven't had time to plan my make up out or I haven't enough time to do something adventurous! Whatever you wear it for, you can depend that it will always look amazing and effortless. This product has simply amazing staying power, I even wore it to the gym once and it didn't smudge, crease or show any signs of budging. Strongly recommend.
(These pictures totally do not do it justice and the quality is quite frankly catastrophic. The swatch is also very rushed and messy!)

Lastly I purchased a Benefit Mini Set in ' The Bronze Of Champions'. This contains: A mini 'Watt's Up' highlighter, a mini bronzer called 'Hoola', a mini cream eyeshadow in the colour 'bikini-tini', an eyeshadow in the colour 'thanks a latte', a 'Hoola' lipgloss, and a mini 'They're Real!' mascara.
I think this set is brilliant! At aiport prices it was £22.05 for all of that, and they are all products I would use! I endlessly adore this bronzer and when I finish this mini one I am debating buying a new full-sized one! The highlighter creates a stunning, light-reflecting look that will never fail to amaze me with how natural yet eye-catching it looks. The mascara literally creates a false- lash effect, however it is a royal pain in the you-know-what to get off. Moreover, I seem to have fallen in love with Benefit now; all down to this little box of goodies. Cream-eyeshadows are my thing right now, and 'bikini-tini' is a gorgeous colour with an extremely light-weight texture. Definitely an extremely exciting buy there!

Forgive me - this doesn't technically count. My friend brought me another product from her trip to duty-free, so I didn't really buy it myself, but I think it counts all the same. My friend brought me a MAC Lipstick in 'Plumful' on my request. I wore this tonight; I have found a winner. It is beautiful. I love plum tones for lipsticks, but I quiver in my small booties at the thought of working up the courage to actually wear them. This however, is the perfect wearable plum toned lippy. I admit, it is more of an autumnal colour however I think it is perfect for all year round. It is a lustre finish, therefore it is not a full-pelt massively dark colour. It is what I would describe as, as natural as a plum lipstick could get. It is quite long wearing, striking yet not over-bearing on the face, and just very complimenting. Very Happy Girlie!
(Again, this picture doesn't do it justice, it isn't hugely clear.)
Thank you very much for reading; I hope you enjoyed.

Favourite Summer Lip Products!

It looks like the English summer has finally arrived, and as it gets hotter us ladies seem to become more adverturous with our lippy.
I shall share with you my all time favourite wears for summer:)

I think last year was the year when chubby sticks really became popular, and I love the Bourjois Paris 'Colour Boost' chubby sticks. In case you don't know chubby sticks are sort of like a fat glossy lipstick pencil. I have two, both in very summery colours, called 'Peach on the Beach' (04) and 'Fuchsia Libre' (02). Peach on the beach is my favourite because it's like a pinky coraly colour, it really brightens up my face! I do like Fuchsia Libre, it is a brighter pink, but I don't get as much wear out of it because I feel it makes my skin tone look almost dirty! It's still a nice colour though! This is sort of funny because I feel like I'm offending my favourite lip products.

I also luurrvveeee the KIKO Pencil Lip Gloss. Yes, it's confusing, it is literally a lip pencil that comes out glossy. Mine is shade 07, a very pale pink, and I love it!

My favourite lipstick for summer is my Mac 'Please me'! It is like a mixture between a bright pink and a pale pink, sort of in the middle. It is a Matte finish lipstick and is amazing.

A dupe/cheaper version for this product is the No7 Moisture Drench Lipstick in the colour "Waterlily". It is practically the same colour but just a different finish.

Those are my fave products, hope you enjoyed!

May Favourites!

Start of June, End of May - My Faves!

Eye favourites -
I have been sooo loving pigments at the moment, I think they just totally make every look look finished and professional! My favourite right now is the Bare Minerals pigment in the colour Grace. It's subtle and stunning!
Also I am adoring the Maybelline Great Lash mascara because I love the wand! it is really small yet it gives lots of volume and is not clumpy. I'm not a fan of the massive eyelashes and I think this mascara just makes them stand out without going overboard.

Face favourites -
I have rekindled my love for the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation again! I always forget how much I love it. I am finding it just makes my skin look so flawless, my friend even complimented my skin the other day saying it looked clear and glowing! I also find it makes me look radiant! (feel so grown up and profesh using that word!)

Lips favourites-
You won't believe it! I have all of a sudden fallen for lip glosses and liners! Usually I hate lip glosses because they are sticky and just a pain in my backside but this month I decided to totally go for it and wear the whole package, Liner Lipstick AND Gloss! Are you proud of me? And…. I love it! I have added about forty million lip liners to my never-ending list of things I want! Maybe one day if you're unluckily lucky I'll share my list with you! Comment if you would like to see it;).
I don't have a particular favourite I just like the whole shabangs!

Contour favourites-
None this month beauties!

If I remember I will do a June favourites at the end of this month for you too!
I am going on a spending ban for about 6 weeks (hopefully), as I have spent a ridiculous amount on makeup this month (find out what I brought here - http://z0zeyy.blogspot.co.uk). I am saving for airport shopping before I go on holiday next month, because there is a mac at the airport and there are so many things I want so might as well get it cheaper! HEHE;)

z0zeyy x

Oopsy, lots of shopping!

I've done it again!

So last week was half term week. As you can imagine my favourite thing to do is go shopping. Well as lovely as this is for me, it is not fun for my bank!!

I brought quite a few beauty products this week so I'm going to share with you.

First I brought a Mac Paint Pot in the colour Painterly. OMG it is holy mother amazing! It is a nude pinky colour and I generally use it as a base under my shadows to stop them creasing, but it is pretty enough to use on its own! To put this into context, this is how amazing they are; I put it on, put shadow over the top, then I went to the gym. Now, usually my shadows crease mega easily, even when I don't do exercise, but even after going to the gym, NO CREASES!! Not only this but it is so smooth and easy to apply, just use your finger!

Then, I brought another shadow for my x15 Mac Pallette, in the colour Quarry. I was a bit disappointed because I wanted Soft Brown but it seems like they have discontinued it. However I never realised how amazing Quarry would be. It is literally the perfect crease colour!! It looks gorgeous on top of my paint pot! (^).

During the week I also went to Westfields, and then I found out superdrug was 3 for 2! WOO! So, in superdrug I brought two of the Rimmel Scandaleyes Shadow Sticks in the colours Witness White (001) and Bluffing (011). I am mega impressed with these! I had wanted to try them for a while and after purchasing these I want more:). They are so pigmented and easy to apply, and only £4.49!
As it was 3 for 2 I got a free Sleek Blush! Amazing! I got the colour Rose Gold, and I've got to be honest when I've seen it before I never really liked the look of it. However, always living on the edge I took the plunge and brought it. I haven't actually had a chance to try it but I have high hopes!

Last but not least, there is something I have been wanting from Mac for a mega long time! If you are a big Mac fan you will know that their Skin Finish range have been low in stock because they have totally redone the packaging, but they are finally in stock, and yes, I ordered the one and only SOFT AND GENTLE! It is so beautiful I cannot even begin to explain!

I have spent an awful amount this week, so sorry for the long blog, and also sorry for using the word mega so many times!
